Tuesday evening around 5 p.m. first responders were called to 34th Street and Indiana Avenue on reports that a construction worker was hit by a car.

When police arrived on the scene, they discovered not one but two construction workers who were trying to fix a broken water line in the area, had been hit following a crash involving two pick-up trucks.

According to police, a northbound pick-up collided with a south bound pick-up causing the northbound truck to slide in to the workers.

KAMC News reports one of the victims suffered moderate injuries while the other incurred just minor injuries.

Police continue to investigate the accident.
