Construction Materials Cause Fire in Downtown Lubbock

Wednesday afternoon, a tar kettle used for roofers exploded in Downtown Lubbock, causing a fire.  The fire occurred near 14th Street and Avenue J.

Traffic was diverted away from the intersection as first responders arrived on the scene.

At the time of the writing of this story, no injuries were reported.
