On the Tuesday edition of Lubbock's First News, Conner Perryman, 5, spoke about his efforts to put on an event to benefit hospitalized children.

Perryman was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at a very young age and with eosinophilic colitis later, followed by a diagnosis of collagenous colitis. His conditions mean spending a lot of time in the hospital. Conner began to wonder about where his toys in the hospital came from. He said, "some kids may not have that much toys," so he'd like to do something about it. On March 2, from 2-4 p.m., Conner's sixth birthday, he will host the Dinos and Docs event will be hosted at the Texas Tech Museum to collect toy donations for other hospitalized children.
