On Monday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Congressman Randy Neugebauer talked with Chad and Rex about the recent goings-on in Washington.

Neugebauer is still backing Rick Perry in the GOP presidential race, and says that since Perry will not be participating in the New Hampshire primary, he'll need to work hard in the South Carolina primary to garner support for his campaign:

"If he [Rick Perry] can't get some traction in the South, it's going to be difficult for him to maintain his campaign."

Neugebauer said that he hasn't really hasn't looked at any other candidates should Perry decide to leave the race. Neugebauer also talked about some of the big issues he predicts will be talked about in the House this year. One of those is the re-authorization of the Farm Bill, which is set to expire this year.

You can hear Congressman Randy Neugebauer on Mondays at 7:35 on Lubbock's First News.
