Congress Approves Bill Proposed by Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison to Make It Easier for Military Families to be Screened in Airports
The legislation has a long name — The Risk-Based Security Screening for Members of the Armed Forces Act. Its purpose is to help military personnel and their families get through long airport lines quickly.
“I think we can all agree that our military men and women make sacrifices for our nation every day,” Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison said. “The least we can do is try to make their lives a little easier when they travel around the country they defend. I think they have earned the right to at least go to the head of the line or have some kind of trusted passenger status.”
