Facebook

An area organization will host a volleyball tournament later this year.

Communities in Schools of the South Plains will host their 5th Annual “Peace.Love.Mud” Volleyball tournament on June 8th at Buffalo Springs Lake.

More than 90 teams, 1,000 competitors, and 200 spectators came out to last year’s event.

CIS-SP is teaming up with the Texas Army National Guard, and is anticipating that the 2013 tournament will be even larger.

Registration for the tournament closes on May 17th.

The registration fee for one player is $40, team registration is $350, and joining the Mud Club is $1,500.

Communities in Schools is the nation’s largest school drop-out prevention program.
