Commissioner Heinrich: No County Tax Increase
This week, commissioners are hearing from department heads who are presenting their wish lists for 2013. Those elected officials wishing for a raise apparently won’t receive help from the commissioners according to Commissioner Mark Heinrich:
“For this year, the elected officials will not be receiving a raise. That will go to commissioners court on Monday.”
But elected officials can appeal to a grievance committee.
As for taxes…
“ No. We do not plan on a tax increase,” Heinrich said. “We’re going through the budget now
