The Governor of Colorado was holding a press conference at an elementary school event in front of about 40 kids when he called the lieutenant governor a "sex star". It's okay though, because he meant to say sex symbol instead of star. According to the Daily Caller:

“Now I get to introduce that rising sex star — symbol. I mean, symbol — not star,” said Hickenlooper, according to audio captured by the radio station KOA.

“This might go down as one of my most difficult press conferences in the history of the office.”

Why anyone thought throwing out the phrase "sex symbol" at an elementary school was a good idea baffles me. Even if there is some kind of joke that only people in Colorado would get, it's still not appropriate. The crowd did laugh though, so I guess that's a positive.
