Coldplay to Perform at Super Bowl 50’s Halftime Show
One act has been locked in for the Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show in Santa Clara, California.
Coldplay is the first act to be nailed down and will headline the halftime festivities.
Coldplay has enjoyed national success for a decade. The band is releasing a new CD on December 4. Though Coldplay will headline, multiple others are expected to share the stage.
The NFL is still working out some kinks and planning the goings-on for this year's halftime show. A few other acts are rumored to be in the running for center stage, including Bruno Mars and Texas' Beyonce. Both have headlined a Super Bowl halftime show in the past five years.
The widely popular group Maroon 5 is another act picking up momentum as the spectacle draws near.
Super Bowl 50 will take place on February 7 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA.
