Code Enforcement to Search Heart of Lubbock Neighborhood Thursday

Code enforcement officers will be combing a Lubbock neighborhood for violations.

The Code Administration section of the Lubbock Police Department will hold a field exercise in the Heart of Lubbock Neighborhood on Thursday.

Officers will be searching the area bordered by 19^th Street, Avenue Q, 34^th Street, and University Avenue.

A field office will be set up in the parking lot of Redeemer Lutheran Church located at 2221 22^nd Street for citizens to ask questions or report violations. A roll-off dumpster will be available at the site for residents to dispose of bulky items such as furniture, appliances, or tree branches.

Code enforcement will be searching for violations relating to junked vehicles, nuisance weeds and rubbish, substandard housing, and zoning.
