Clovis Police Seeking Person of Interest in Friday Shooting

Clovis police need you help locating a person of interest in a shooting case from last week. Authorities believe 29 year old Abel G. Vega was present during a hotel parking lot shooting and may have information on the incident.
At around 5pm Friday, March 2nd Clovis Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Mabry after shots were reported fired. When police arrived, two vehicles associated with the shooting were gone. Authorities eventually located one of the vehicles, and found 26-year-old Jerry Abeyta with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Authorities did not say if Vega was in one of the two cars connected to the shootout. If you have any information on contacting Vega, or his whereabouts, call the Curry County Crime Stoppers at 575-763-7000.
