Civic Lubbock to Host Workshop on Grant Applications for Arts Groups

Civic Lubbock, Inc. will conduct a workshop in preparation for the November 30^th deadline for the second round of grants from the 2012 City of Lubbock and Civic Lubbock Cultural Arts Grant Program. The workshop will take place on November 1^st from 4-5:30pm in Room 104 of the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center located at 1501 Mac Davis Lane.

The workshop is free to attend for local organizations who are interested in applying for the grants from Civic Lubbock.

The grant program provides local cultural organizations with financial support for projects that promote Tourism and arts in Lubbock. Funding for the program comes from allocations of the Hotel Occupancy Tax and grants from the Texas Commission on the Arts.

Organizations must a 501(c)3 non-profit to be eligible and have been actively pursuing their goals for at least one year. For applications and other documents associated with the grants are available at civiclubbock.com. For more information, call 775-2236 or 775-2267.
