City of Lubbock Offices to Close on Labor Day Holiday

City of Lubbock offices will be closed on Monday, September 3rd for the Labor Day holiday.

There will be no dumpster trash collection on Monday, and the normally scheduled dumpster trash collection will take place on Tuesday. Tuesday’s normally scheduled trash collection will be moved to Wednesday.

Residents with cart trash collection service will receive collection on Thursday.

The City of Lubbock drop-off recycling centers and citizen collection stations, located at 1631 84^th Street and 208 Municipal Drive will be closed on Monday as well.

The Caliche Canyon Landfill, located at 8425 N. Avenue P will be open during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 12 noon, on Saturday, September 1^st.

The West Texas Region Disposal Facility, located at 17304 N. Farm-to-Market 2528 in Abernathy will be open from 7 a.m. until noon on Saturday as well. Both facilities will be closed Monday.

As always, emergency services will continue without interruption.
