On Thursday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Rhonda Cartwright with the City of Lubbock Health Department talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about their upcoming immunization clinics.

The Health Department offers a number of immunization clinics for childhood vaccines every month. The next clinic will take place Friday, June 7th, at the Health Department, located at 806 18th Street, from 8:30 AM to noon. Next week, the clinics will take place at Mahon Library on Monday from 9 AM to noon, Godeke Library on Thursday from 1 PM to 3 PM, and Friday at the Health Department from 8:30 AM to noon. The cost is $10 for a single vaccine and $15 for multiple vaccines.

Cartwright said that children covered by private insurance or CHIP are not eligible for the vaccinations. However, she added that Medicare and Medicaid are accepted, and no child will ever be turned away due to inability to pay.
