City of Lubbock Facilities to Close For Thanksgiving

City of Lubbock offices and facilities will close for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Offices will be closed on Thursday, November 22^nd, and Friday, November 23^rd.

Regularly scheduled trash pickup will not take place on Thursday or Friday, and there will be limited trash pickup on Saturday. Normal pickup resumes on Monday.

The Solid Waste Drop-off Centers at 208 Municipal Drive and 1631 84^th Street will be open Saturday from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

The West Texas Region Disposal Facility and the Caliche Canyon Landfill will be closed both Thursday and Friday. The disposal facility will be open Saturday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., and the Caliche Canyon Landfill will be open from 8 a.m. until noon.

The Buddy Holly Center and Silent Wings Museum will be closed Thursday and Friday, and will resume regular business hours for the weekend.

The Garden and Arts Center will be closed Thursday through Sunday, and will reopen Monday.
