City of Lubbock crews are working to clear mud and debris from a local neighborhood.

The City received numerous calls from residents of the Rush neighborhood regard mud and debris in the southeast corner of the area, following water line breaks.

The mud and debris were left behind when water flowed from two broken water pipes in the area.

The first line break occurred near 16th Street and Salem Avenue around midnight on Friday, and the second occurred about 6:30 a.m. Friday at 11th Street and Toledo Avenue.

It is currently unknown what caused the line breaks.

Once the streets dry, street sweepers will comb the area to clean up the roads.
