This week on Lubbock's First News, District 2 candidate Christopher Moore joined Tom and Laura to discuss his plans and his race for City Council. He talked about his values and his focus on the community.

When asked how he would make District 2 more safe, here's what Moore had to say.

"When we think about District 2 we think about neighborhood associations... just in the segment of District 2 we have about nine different neighborhood associations," said Moore. "Only two to three of those associations are in use or avail able or still alive. So one of the things we need to do is, again, bring structure.... We need to revitalize and resurrect those neighborhood associations so we can have a point of contact."

Moore wants to get the neighborhood associations together and continue to help the district grow along side the city. You can listen to the full interview in the video above. Moore is one of three candidates running for City Council.
