The City of Lubbock will provide places for disposal of fresh cut Christmas trees in the coming weeks.

Solid Waste Services will accept the fresh cut trees for recycling beginning on December 26th.

Trees can be dropped off at 208 Municipal Drive and 1631 84th Street.

Before sending the tree off to be recycled however, residents are asked to remove all decorations, the metal stand, and any plastic.

Roll-off containers for the trees will be located outside the gates of the two locations through January 14th.

After January 14th, the containers will be put inside the gates, and residents can drop off their fresh cut trees from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
