Chris Winn, candidate for Texas District 19 of the U.S. House of Representatives, joined Chad Hasty at Heroes and Legacies on 16th and University to talk about cigar smokers and their rights. Billy Mitchell, manager of Heroes and Legacies asked Chris his stance on the rights of cigar smokers and U.S. Senate bill 1461.

Mitchell asked Winn him about the FDA's regulations on tobacco, primarily cigars and Winn responded, "The issue comes down to when government, when they start to get into your business, they assume they know more than the person who is in the business. " Chad asked Winn how he would protect cigar smokers if he was elected to Congress and he replied,  "Its not about protecting the cigar smoker, its about protecting the liberties of people... and the freedom to choose."

Winn is the former Lubbock County Republican Party Chairman and is facing incumbent Rep. Randy Neugebauer in the May 29th Texas Primary. The Chad Hasty Show airs each Saturday from 2-4 p.m. on News/Talk 790 KFYO.
