Tuesday on The Chad Hasty Show, Texas Senator Charles Perry joined Chad on KFYO to talk about proposed bills and new legislation with which he is involved in forming.

Some of that legislation include the high school sports playoff system and it's effects on distribution of school monies, synthetic marijuana, "sanctuary cities", and health care.

On why the proliferation of synthetic marijuana has taken place, Perry said,

We've got a society, for whatever reason is looking for escapes because they've lost their moral, spiritual background that I was fortunate to grow up with, and as long as there is this hopelessness ... people are going to try to get out from under it by escapes through these hatches.

Perry continued,

It's just basically a loss of moral conscience and hope, and there's a hopelessness that people are trying to fill with a drug.
