Charges Filed in Van, Texas Oil Storage Tank Explosion

Charges have been filed against 3 people involved with an oil storage tank explosion.

According to officials, two people were smoking on top of the storage tank when it exploded Jan. 29 near Van, Texas which is about 75 miles east of Dallas.

Warrants were issued Wednesday for 24-year-old H.R. Price of Mineola, 24-year-old Brandy Wolfe of Grand Saline and 25-year-old Heather Wolfe of Van.

The man and two women were arrested and face charges of trespassing and criminal mischief and each had a $150,000 bond.

It is not known who was on top of the tank when it exploded and the suspects were no longer in custody as of Thursday.

Jail records have not yet listed attorneys for the 3 charged.
