The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for Chamber Week, which takes place next week.
Chamber Week is an annual event during which the chamber spreads the word about what it does.

During an interview on KFYO, Colleen Evans, the vice president of membership services, said this year during Chamber Week, the chamber will emphasize the role of its volunteers.

“Throughout the week, we’re going to be using a lot of social media…events exactly like what we’re doing right now, to be able to talk about our volunteers and what a great job they do for us.

Evans said about a thousand of the chamber's members serve as volunteers.
