Democrats Finally Schedule Debates

Hillary Clinton is still the favorite to win the Democratic nomination and that won't change unless Joe Biden enters the race or she is charged for a crime. Even if Biden enters she will still probably win. While she is the favorite, there still needs to be debates and according to FOX News the Democrats have finally decided on when those will happen.

Democrats will hold six presidential debates starting Oct. 13 in Nevada.

That's according to the Democratic National Committee, which released the debate plans as Republicans prepare for their first debate Thursday evening.

Four debates are planned for early primary states in advance of the Iowa caucuses on Feb. 1.

These might actually be interesting to watch. Will any of her challengers call her out for being untrustworthy? Will her challengers call out her lack of accomplishments? I doubt it, but it would be great to see.

Ditching Work Requirements

According to FOX News, more states are getting rid of requirements that to receive food stamps, you must work.

Most states still are waiving work requirements for those on food stamps, raising concerns that despite an improving job market the Obama administration is feeding government dependency -- and all at the expense of taxpayers.

Forty-four of the 50 states have to some degree eased work requirements for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as food stamps: 30 states grant waivers state-wide, while another 14 issue partial waivers in areas of high unemployment.

"The explosion of enrollment on SNAP of able-bodied adults without requiring work is a recipe for long-term dependency, and is hurting the country's economic recovery," said Senior Fellow at the Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA) Josh Archambault, whose group obtained the numbers.

Supporters of waiving work requirements counter that there still aren't enough jobs out there.

There aren't enough jobs out there? The same Democrats saying that are also saying that the economy has recovered! Work requirements are good and it is a shame that states are easing the rules. Whether it be work or volunteering, able bodied adults should do something.
