The organization, Texas Young Democrats, is requesting individuals and organizations to join them in sending monetary aid to the Texas border. According to a release from the group, they have collected over $120,000 in direct assistance that will be sent to the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley which is currently housing supplies for the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of McAllen.

The United States Department of Agriculture released a reminder this week to producers about changes mandated in the 2014 Farm Bill.
