"Mr. Bubble" Jeff Boyer, who will be performing his science show "Bubble Trouble" at Lubbock's Science Spectrum, stopped by the News/Talk 790 studios Friday to visit with Lubbock's First News' Tom Collins and Laura Mac.
In the aftermath of the scandal caused by Texas Tech University’s Phi Delta Theta, the university announced the creation of a task force designed to address issues within the university’s Greek system.
Thursday October 2, Doyle Brent Sheets of Lubbock was sentenced on one count of misprision of a felony and one count of theft of government funds and aiding and abetting on behalf of American Commercial Colleges. Sheets is president of ACC and pleaded guilty personally and on behalf of the company after being authorized to by a corporate resolution.
The annual Lubbock ISD Band Extravaganza turned Plains Capital Park into marching band heaven. One highlight was a performance of Imagine Dragon's radio hit "Radioactive" by the Coronado High School attendance zone band.
