During Monday's edition of Lubbock's First News on KFYO, the winners of the Casas for CASA houses came by the studio to discuss their prizes.

Milan was the winner of the Lowe's building. She wanted to do a memorial for her Mother who loved children and decided to achieve this by buying raffle tickets to help support CASA. She was surprised when she won, and decided to give the play house away. "My choice is to donate this to a community neighborhood ministry," Milan stated. Kids will be able to play in this building after school.

The other winner, Kalie Campbell, is a young lady who bought 13 tickets in total. Despite being an unlucky number, Campbell was able to win one of the houses. She chose the KFYO building because it has sound insulation and recording equipment, perfect for Kalie's love of singing.

This year's Casas for CASA was a great success in raising funds for CASA. A thanks goes out to everyone who purchased raffles and participated, as well as a special thanks to Mike Webb of the Stone Ridge Group for building the play houses, Guitar Center for outfitting the KFYO building with recording equipment, and Lowe's for donating the building materials and tools in the Lowe's building.
