The Texas Republican County Chairmen’s Association (TRCCA) has elected a new President.

The TRCCA is a statewide organization that represents the entire contingent of Republican Party Chairmen in Texas.

Carl Tepper, the current chairman of the Lubbock County Republican Party, was elected by his colleagues in the TRCCA this morning at the Republican Party of Texas’ State Convention in Fort Worth.

In a press release by the association, Tepper said,

“I’m honored that my fellow chairmen agreed to change the direction of the TRCCA and will allow me to steer these changes.  We’ll now move forward as a unified force against the Obama agenda.  We’ll be proactive through this midterm election for Greg Abbott and our entire slate and then into the next presidential election cycle."

Tepper will serve as President of the TRCCA until their next convention in 2016.
