Robert Snyder, KFYO.com

An area museum will hold a celebration for the opening of a new exhibit.

The Buddy Holly Center will hold the relocation celebration for J.I. Allison’s house, which is now an exhibit at the museum.

The home is where Allison lived as a teenager, and where he and Buddy Holly wrote several hit songs, including That’ll Be The Day.

The celebration will be held in conjunction with the Walk of Fame induction ceremony that will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, September 27th. The event featuring the home will take place at 6:30 p.m.

These events all take place during the Lubbock Music Festival.
