On the Friday edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Brandon Darby, managing director of Breitbart Texas, spoke with Chad Hasty about the latest Texas news.

One of the biggest state stories to break out this week is the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Texas land grab. Various state officials have been speaking out against the BLM's efforts to claim 90,000 acres of land along the Red River.

But according to Darby and Breitbart Texas, the BLM is now saying that is it not a "land grab" because that land has always belonged to the BLM.

"We did an audio interview with [the BLM] and recorded them and let them discuss their side of this where they basically said the courts decides that x situations...are federal land and under federal jurisdiction and [the BLM] decided to redefine that a little bit, or change what those terms mean and decided it's [their] land already."

Darby said that the problem is that this land is private property, not just state land. He also spoke about the possibility of the Texas land grab turning into another Bundy Ranch situation, saying that it would really depend on how far the property owners want to go.

Darby also spoke about border issues and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush's comments on immigration being an "act of love," and commented that the statement seemed to inflame a lot of people, even though it wasn't intentionally inflammatory.
