Body of Child Believed to be Leah Marie Aguirre Died of Blunt Force Trauma, Autopsy Says
Some details on the autopsy of the young girl believed to be a missing Crosbyton girl have been released.
Crosbyton police say that the child was killed by blunt force trauma to the head.
Authorities believe that the body is that of 2-year-old Leah Marie Aguirre.
DNA results have not yet come in to give positive identification of the victim.
Crosbyton police and the FBI executed a search warrant at the home of Matilda Alvarez on January 10th and found the child’s body hidden in the basement on a shelf, wrapped in plastic and hidden under a pile of clothes.
Alvarez, who was the child’s caretaker, is in police custody for Capital Murder.
