Radio show host Bobby Bones is safe following a horrific mass shooting in Las Vegas that has so far claimed more than 50 lives.

Bones and his band The Raging Idiots were in Las Vegas for this weekend's Route 91 Harvest festival, which featured some of the biggest names in country music. However, he confirmed on Twitter that he and the band had left on Sunday, hours before the shooting.

The host shared some horrific details from the mass shooting that were relayed to him by friends who were there when it happened:

During Bones' show, country singer Jake Owen called in to describe the scene from the stage. Owen was near the stage when a gunman opened fire on the crowd.

Bones touched on the fact that Monday morning's show unsurprisingly wasn't the norm, thanking fans for listening regardless.

Bobby Bones and The Raging Idiots is currently on the road for a farewell tour. The band is set to play Lubbock, Texas on Friday, Oct. 20.
