A Big Spring man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for child pornography.

Christopher Aubrey Harlan was sentenced Friday to 15 years in federal prison, followed by eight years of supervised release, following his March 2013 guilty plea to one count of receiving child pornography.

According to court documents, Harlan used his computer and his roommate’s computer to access child pornography on different websites.

He sent and received the images from the computers and his cell phone.

Harlan has been ordered to surrender to the Bureau of Prisons on August 16th, 2013.

The case was investigated by U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations and the Big Spring Police Department, and prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s office.
