A Big Spring man has pleaded guilty to a federal child pornography offense.

Aaron Charles Lustfeldt pleaded guilty to one count of receipt of child pornography on Tuesday in federal court.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Big Spring Police were dispatched to Comanche Trail Park on reports of a male exposing himself to children in the play area.

Officers located the 27-year-old Lustfeldt, who admitted to being in the park but denied any inappropriate activity, and stated that he was not supposed to be at the park because he is a registered sex offender.

During their investigation, officers located images of child pornography on his cell phone, and Lustfeldt eventually admitted that he had received and downloaded the images from the internet onto his cell phone.

Lustfeldt faces a maximum sentence of no less than five years or more than 20 years in federal prison, a $250,000 fine, and a lifetime of supervised release.
