You don't always hear dieticians talk about the health benefits of beef, but some beef can be nutritious and good for you as Brenda Duby, Corporate Dietician for the United Family of stores, points out.

This week, Duby explained that lean ground beef, 93 percent lean or better, is actually a great source of protein.

"One serving, which is about three ounces, provides you about half of your daily protein needs," explained Duby.

Duby said that if you buy a pound of lean beef and split it among four people, that's about $1 per serving at 150 calories. Lean beef also contains roughly 10 essential nutrients including B-12, Zinc, Iron, Protein and more.

Watch the video above to hear Duby's tip of the week dealing with meals made with ground lean beef.
