It was a busy news day for Baylor University on Monday, during which the successor to Art Briles as the new head football coach was announced.

Former Wake Forest head coach Jim Grobe will take the reins of the team on an interim basis.

Not long after the decision was made, Baylor Athletic Director Ian McCaw stepped down from his position within the athletic department.

McCaw said in a statement to the press, “After much reflection and prayer, I have decided that a change in athletics department leadership is in Baylor University's best interest in order to promote the unity, healing and restoration that must occur in order to move forward."
