Basic Personal Finance Classes Offered at Maxey Community Center

A class on budgeting and personal finance is being offered during the month of February by the City of Lubbock.

Maxey Community Center will be holding a new class called “How to Handle Your Money,” aimed to instruct participants on ways to properly manage personal finances.

The four-week class will be held on Monday evenings from 6:45 until 7:45 p.m. at the Maxey Community Center, located at 4020 30^th Street. Admission is free to attend, and all are invited to come to just one or all four.

The classes are:

• February 6^th – Basic budgeting
• February 13^th – Cash flow
• February 20^th – Reconciling and recording
• February 27^th – More money: Freeing up more money in your budget
