Lubbock Salvation Army Preparing to Serve 400 on Thanksgiving

The Salvation Army of Lubbock is preparing to serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to over 400 individuals in need from the Lubbock community. The meal will take place on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Salvation Army Family Housing Facility and Emergency Shelter at 17th and Avenue J.

United to Hire 200 Additional Employees for new Market Street Location

A Lubbock-based supermarket will hold a series of job fairs for the opening of a new store.

United Supermarkets plan to hire an additional 200 employees for the opening of the new Market Street located at 19th and Quaker. A total of 400 employees will work at the new location. The new store is scheduled to open January 9, 2013.
