An Aspermont High School student is dead after a car crash this morning in Stonewall County. The Abilene Reporter News says 18-year-old Matthew Lindsey was pronounced dead at around 8 am after being ejected from his truck.

Investigators say Lindsey’s pickup clipped a tractor trailer, causing him to lose control and veer into oncoming traffic. He then crashed into an oncoming tractor-trailer. It is not known if he was wearing a seat belt or if speed was a factor. No one else was injured.
