Monday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin Congressman Jodey Arrington joined Dave and Matt to talk about the Farm Bill including work requirements for able-bodied people, food stamps, and more being blocked this week and when we can expect to see it again.

Arrington began by explaining that the Freedom Caucus blocking farm bills is not unusual, but that things are a bit different this time, saying, "The Freedom Caucus usually votes against farm bills...but they support this farm bill." He explained that the Freedom Caucus is in support of this farm bill because of the food stamps and work requirements for able-bodied people, but despite this, voted against it and used it as leverage to get a vote on immigration legislation.

"I don't want the farm bill to be held hostage to anything that is unrelated, and I don't want it to be used as leverage."

Arrington went on to say that he doesn't think the president would support the bill if it did not include the food stamps and able-bodied requirements and that he expects that they will get the Farm Bill back on the table in a week or two to get it out the door and onto the Senate.
