Area under winter weather advisory: Use caution on roadways

Lubbock ISD schools will open on time this morning.

Lubbock County offices will open at 10 a.m., as will the Lubbock County Courthouse.

TXDOT is advising motorists to use extra caution on icy roadways.

Leave extra space between your vehicles and vehicles ahead of you in case of skidding.

Bridges and flyover surfaces will freeze before roadways.

Make sure your car windows are free of ice enabling you to see other motorists.
