Area Students Invited to Texas Tech Back to School Fiesta

Area students are invited onto the Texas Tech campus with a fiesta this weekend.

The annual Back to School Fiesta will be held at the Student Union Building at 15^th Street and Akron Avenue on Saturday, August 11^th from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The event gives students and their families the opportunity to visit the Tech campus, learn about educational, local, and federal programs and initiatives, and receive free school supplies for the upcoming year.

The Fiesta originally began in 2001, and had more than 5,500 attendees last year.

Community resource workshops, including a child care services workshop, will be presented by Workforce Solutions South Plains as well.

Parking is available in lots surrounding the SUB.
