The unsolved murder of Selena "Melody" Kuykendall back in 2007 is back in the spotlight after new information has been brought to police.

KAMC News reports that the information was given to police came by one of its viewers who wished to remain anonymous. The info wasn’t strong enough to make an arrest or solve the case, but it has ignited hopes within the police department that more people will come forward with tips.

While driving to work with a co-worker one morning, the anonymous viewer claimed to have witnessed Kuykendall being assaulted. This instance has been reported as occurring the week before Kuykendall disappeared.

Kuykendall’s body was later discovered by a jogger off East Municipal Dr. and Olive Ave.
