Barrett Lancaster Brown, of Dallas, is facing a competency hearing to determine if he can stand trial for crimes he took part in as part of the internet terrorist group, Anonymous.

Prison medical staff believes Brown is competent.

Brown has acted as a de facto spokesman for the terrorist group and was charged in October with making internet threats and retaliating against law enforcement.

He has also been indicted for making public a link that led to stolen credit card information and concealing evidence.

A Dallas federal court will hold Brown’s hearing Wednesday.
