The nurse from Arlington says her family is living in fear over a photo that makes it appear like she abandoned her dog in a parking lot.

According to Fox News 4, the woman says the photo does not tell the whole story. She's had phone calls, threats and even some very vulgar notes left at her home.

The woman claims in the report that she let the dog out to go to the bathroom and he ran off. She couldn't chase him down because she was transporting a physically-challenged 5-year-old patient and couldn't leave the child to chase after the dog.

The photo taken shows 1-year-old Rocky, a German Shepherd mix, with his paws on the front bumper. The person who took the photo posted it online and said the dog was being "dumped" in the parking lot.

Animal advocates have been posting her license plate, picture and address all over social media.

Arlington police are investigating the threats, Dallas Animal Services are looking into her claims and the family is leaving their home until things cool down.

Rocky is still missing and the family claims they want him back.
