Monday on Lubbock's First News, folk musician Andy Wilkinson with daughter Emily Wilkinson, director of the National Ranching Heritage Center, gave a musical father-daughter performance.

Andy Wilkinson has been writing poetry and songs for over a decade. A link to his biography can be found here. He researches places and people in West Texas as backgrounds and inspiration for his musical content. He and Emily sang original Christmas songs and Andy read an original Christmas poem during the show. He talked about the memory of being poor during Christmas and how he and his family made it work.
