On the Tuesday edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Phil Kerpen, President of American Commitment, talked with Chad Hasty about how Obamacare is negatively impacting the American people.

The effects of Obamacare are being felt across the nation, with many people receiving notices from their health insurance providers that their plans have either been cancelled outright or their premiums have increased. In Kerpen's article on American Commitment, he calls Obamacare not just a political failure, but a "moral failure" as well. He explained that the liberals have completely blown up the health care market, and now people who have been doing the right thing and were perfectly happy with their health insurance and their health care and now being punished in extraordinary ways.

"...millions and millions of people who had health care, who were responsible, who bought insurance, had plans they liked, had doctors they liked, their lives are being thrown into disarray. They're being punished, essentially, for doing the right thing and for taking care of their own responsibility. And they're being punished in a particularly outrageous way because they're having their policies they like and paid for cancelled and they're told "we're going to tax you and punish you if you don't buy a new policy from this new government website," and they go to the website and it doesn't even work.

Kerpen said there was still time to act against it, as the individual mandate has been delayed until next year and the Senate has not taken a vote on it yet, and he urged people to get in touch with their senators to act on Obamacare. However, he pointed out that there is the more immediate problem of those individuals whose coverage has already been cancelled, but are unable to purchase new coverage due to the health care exchange's broken website. Kerpen proposed that Congress pass emergency legislation that would make insurance companies extend the coverage of those cancelled plans for at least another year so that everyone has time to sort out the mess made by Obamacare.

Kerpen also discussed the effects Obamacare would have on the 2014 elections. He predicted that, due to all the problems with Obamacare and the administration, it could be a year of big gains for Republicans. But he also added that some incumbent Republicans could lose re-election due to not taking enough action against Obamacare.
