On Wednesday's edition of Lubbock's First News, siblings Whitney, Barkley and Bryce White talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about the upcoming Relay For Life.

Lubbock's 15th annual Relay For Life will be taking place this weekend. Whitney, one of the organizers for the event, said Relay for Life is the biggest fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, and to date, they have already raised close to $75,000 for this year's relay. All proceeds from the relay will go to the American Cancer Society.

Whitney and her family have also been affected personally by cancer; her brother Barkley was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in April of 2011. He is now a sophomore at Texas Tech University and has been cancer-free for 2 years.

The relay will kick off Friday, May 10th at 7 PM at Coronado High School and will continue through the night until 7 AM on Saturday. To register for the relay, or to donate to the cause, visit Relay for Life's website at relayforlife.org/lubbocktx.
