American Airlines Cancels Flights Due to Winter Storm
American Airlines has canceled about 120 flights due to a winter storm moving across the Midwest.
Fort Worth-based American says today that the carrier is trying to delay and not cancel flights for customers trying to make their holiday travel plans.
Some flights were canceled following storms in the Dallas-Fort Worth area Wednesday night and due to the dust storm in West Texas, which caused a fatality on Interstate 27 North of Lubbock.
In Iowa, a chain reaction of crashes with commercial and passenger vehicles resulted in two deaths and seven injuries.
The storm has also been blamed for traffic deaths in mid-western states Nebraska, Kansas and Wisconsin.
A woman who tried to walk for help after her car became stuck in snow died Tuesday night in Southeastern Utah.
