An Amber Alert has been issued for a Copperas Cove toddler.

Copperas Cove Police are searching for two-year-old Jaelyn Gucciana Johnson.

Jaelyn Johnson is described as a black female toddler, standing about two feet tall with black hair, brown eyes, and a small scar on the right side of her forehead. She was born on August 24th, 2010, and currently weighs about 40 pounds.

Police are also searching for Shemeka Denise Johnson. She is described as a 19-year-old black female, standing 5’4” and weighing around 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black dress and is known to wear wigs.

The suspect was last heard from in the Killeen, Texas area.

Shemeka Johnson is Jaelyn Johnson’s biological mother, but her grandparents have custody of the toddler. She was taken from the home of her grandparents by Shemeka on August 5th, and the grandparents filed the missing persons report on August 9th.

Shemeka Johnson is suspected of being a narcotics user, and authorities believe the child is in immediate danger, according to Texas DPS.
