One person has been arrested following a domestic disturbance and a police chase.

Lubbock Police officers were called to the 7-Eleven at 26th Street and Avenue Q around 2:40 a.m. Friday for a domestic disturbance call.

When officers arrived, the male suspect and a female began to flee the scene in a vehicle, nearly hitting an officer who was on foot.

The suspect pulled over and allowed the female passenger to get out, then attempted to flee from police.

The chase went on in the nearby neighborhood for several minutes until the suspect, 40-year-old Amador Rodriques, hit a dirt pile in the 2000 block of 28th street and rolled the vehicle.

Rodriques reportedly attempted to flee on foot, but was taken into custody a short time later.

Rodriques has been charged with Aggravated Assault on a Public Servant, Evading Arrest in a Vehicle, Evading Arrest on Foot, and Failure to Leave Information after striking a vehicle during the pursuit.
